The Most Powerful Voices Gospel Celebration empowers African Americans to reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke by making healthy lifestyle changes. 

Risk factors for heart disease and stroke are disproportionately high among African Americans: prevalence of hypertension in African Americans in the United States is among the highest in the world; African Americans develop high blood pressure at an earlier age; and 58 to 68% of African American men and women are either overweight or obese.
